Our April Topic Inquiry: Grieving, A Sacred Process
Grieving is a process we've all experienced in life. It's a process that's been woven into the fabric of existence itself. Grieving happens whenever a relationship in our life is affected by change. The change
could be any number of happenings: death of a loved one, job change, location move, divorce, a child's maturing through life-stages, and our own body changes with age. I think that as long as we are alive, we can expect to experience grief.
Why would you want to join me in this inquiry?
Are you
curious about the possibility that there may be something else to learn about grieving to help you understand what's happening? Are you open to recognizing the truth that pertains to YOU through your own experiential knowing rather than what others say? Isn't it true how we don't really know anything until we experience it directly ourselves?
I once read something written by Mirabai Starr where she said: "Grief strips us. According to the mystics, this is good news. Because it is only when we are naked that we can have union with the Beloved."
Open-ended Questions of Exploration
Because the grieving process is very individual, what do you remember being particularly unique about your own process of grieving? How does your own grieving process include paradoxical experiences? For example, what qualities like love, acceptance, compassion, strength, support moved through you while you also experienced sadness, loss, anger and pain? How has your own grieving process felt like Healing or
Grace?
Together we'll be exploring beliefs, ideas, cultures that influence how we think about grieving and whether or not the reality of our own personal experiences have been dictated by those concepts.
Dates, Times, Payment Details
I'm offering two opportunities to explore the process of grieving. The nominal fee for joining in either of these inquiry groups is $40 payable through PayPal or check. Note: This fee is not required by current participants in private or group inquiry practices with me. I'm open to
discussing payment options with anyone who's interested in joining but feels that this fee would be challenging.
The inquiry practice will last 1 hour 45 minutes over Zoom.
- Monday group will meet on April 22 at 4 p.m. Pacific
Time (5 p.m. Mountain Time/6 p.m. Central Time/7 p.m. Eastern Time)
